Pizza Capers kicks off expansion drive

BRISBANE, Queensland -- Australian pizza chain Pizza Capers has announced plans to operate a network of 100 stores in the next two years and establish a presence in New South Wales and Victoria, Australia.
 
Starting with one concept store in Kenmore in 1996, partners Scott Geiszler and Anthony Russo have built a chain of 29 stores in Brisbane and plan to open another 20 across Queensland by the end of 2008.
 
Pizza Capers reported revenues of $17.9 million for the company's fiscal year ended in June 2008, a 108 percent increase compared with the previous year.
