Pizza concepts join in on Mac & Cheese competition

The inaugural Mac & Cheese Fest will be held Oct. 4 at the University of Illinois-Chicago Forum from noon to 3 p.m. As part of the event, a number of restaurant concepts will compete for the Golden Noodle and will raise funds for area Ronald McDonald House Charities

According to a news release, the Mac & Cheese Fest will feature approximately 50 Chicago chefs featuring their versions of Mac and Cheese. The will be able to use any kind of pasta with any type of cheese as the primary ingredients.

Among the restaurants competing are: Connie’s Pizza, Noodles & Company, Big G's Pizza, Black Rock Pub & Kitchen, Buzz Burgers & Beer, Famous Dave's, Farmhouse Tavern, Grange Hall Burger Bar, Stanley's Kitchen & Tap and more.
