The Economic Times: New Delhi-based Pizza Corner is going Chinese. It will open its first company-owned store in Beijing in March 2005. The company will be backed by a partner from Thailand called Global Franchise Architect, which is pumping in $3 million into the expansion.
Pizza Corner plans to open up to 20 stores in the Chinese capital amidst the same competition delivered by Pizza Hut and Domino's. The next phase will see Pizza Corner going to Shanghai followed by a foray into the markets of Dubai and Russia.
