KVOA-TV: Tucson (Ariz.) Fire Department emergency crews were dispatched to a river rescue after a sudden downpour Aug. 7. The unlucky driver, a pizza delivery man, was swept in a matter of minutes and was trapped with soggy pizzas in a soggy car.
The driver was not injured and back at his employer's place, Bianchi's Italian, the deliveries churned on during the torrential storm. "People don't want to leave their houses and so the phones just [rang] off the hook," said Vincent Bianchi, the pizzeria's owner.
