Pizza Express could go public again

The Scotsman: Reports of out of London claim that the owners of Pizza Express are considering a public offering for their chain — less than two years after it was taken private.

Private equity owner TDR Capital, which acquired the chain for £278 million (U.S. $519 million) in partnership with Capricorn Ventures, is rumored to be seeking bankers' advice on strategic moves for the chain, including a flotation or a sale.

Some speculate that a combination of Pizza Express and the Ask Central chain, acquired by TDR and Capricorn last year, is also possible. But the Sunday Telegraph quoted sources saying TDR is focusing on the future of Pizza Express alone.
