Pizza Fusion purchases renewable energy offsets

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.— Organic pizza restaurant Pizza Fusion has purchased 9,783 kWh worth of renewable energy certificates to offset all of the company's electricity consumption in their corporate office and stores.
The renewable energy certificates were purchased from San Francisco-based 3 Phases Energy, a renewable energy supplier, and is derived from a number of clean energy sources around the U.S., including wind, biomass, geothermal, solar, and methane-based power resources.
According to 3 Phases Energy, the environmental impact of Pizza Fusion's purchase is equivalent to preventing the emission of 132,240 pounds of carbon dioxide or annually removing 13 cars from the road.
