Pizza Fusion pursues organic-restaurant certification

August 11, 2008

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Organic pizza chain Pizza Fusion plans to pursue independent, third-party organic-restaurant certification for all of their locations, company officials have announced. The move follows the receipt of certification at their Fort Lauderdale, Fla., location.

Quality Assurance International, the third-party certifier conducting Pizza Fusion's certifications, verifies the standards set forth by the USDA's National Organic Program via on-site inspections to validate the use of organic ingredients and menu selections with consistency and integrity in the certification process.

Pizza Fusion's Fort Lauderdale location is one of only four restaurants in the United States to receive the Organic Restaurant certification.
