Sacramento, California-based Pizza Guys has kicked off its Raising Dough for a Cure campaign, which runs through the end of October. The brand has partnered with the American Cancer Society to generate awareness and raise money for breast cancer research, according to a press release.
The pizza chain will donate a portion of proceeds from every large pizza sold and $1 for every Raising Dough for a Cure Special ($4.00 off a large pizza at regular menu price) used to ACS. Customers may also donate to the fundraiser in store or online.
Pizza Guys will also turn its pizza boxes pink for the month, and employees will wear specialty shirts for the month-long event.
"This year is extra special because it marks our 10-year partnership with ACS. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $30,000," Shahpour Nejad, president and CEO of Pizza Guys, said in the release. "In addition to raising money, all stores are encouraged to go pink and participate in their local Making Strides Event. Our flagship Pizza Guys location will be participating in the Making Strides Walk in Sacramento on October 15 and are the presenting sponsor."
Pizza Guys has more than 80 stores in three states.
