Pizza Guys will open its fourth San Diego location on Feb. 26, according to a press release.
The brand's newest restaurant is owned and operated by Mert Egilmez, a San Diego resident since 2009.
"I wanted to do something I'd genuinely enjoy every day, and pizza has always been a big part of my life," Egilmez said in the release. "When I met with the Pizza Guys team and tried the food, I could taste the difference right away. Pizza Guys' menu fits the demand in San Diego for food that is not only delicious, but high-quality, and I look forward to bringing this to my community."
Located near the University of San Diego and surrounded by a vibrant residential community, the new restaurant aims to become a neighborhood favorite — a welcoming gathering place for students, families and neighbors.
"Mert has the exact kind of entrepreneurial spirit and passion that we want representing Pizza Guys," Shahpour Nejad, CEO and founder of Pizza Guys, said in the release. "His commitment to quality perfectly aligns with our mission. San Diego is a city that appreciates real, premium food, and we're excited for them to experience pizza the Pizza Guys way."
Pizza Guys was founded in 1986 and has 100 stores open across two states.
