LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Comparable-store sales for U.S., corporate-owned Pizza Hut stores rose 2 percent for the four-week period ended June 14. The increase marks a 6 percent gain over the prior period.
According to a news release from Pizza Hut owner Yum! Brands, the pizza chain's second-quarter sales were off 1 percent, up 3 percent from the previous quarter.
Yum's international system sales, made up almost entirely of sales from Pizza Hut and KFC units, increased 6 percent prior to foreign currency conversion, 13 percent after conversion to U.S. dollars, for the four weeks ended June 14.
