LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Yum! Brands, parent of Dallas-based Pizza Hut, reported a September comparable-store sales decline of 3 percent at the chain's 1,760 corporate units. According to a regulatory filing, Pizza Hut logged comp gains of 6 percent in same period in 2004.
Pizza Hut's third quarter '05 comps sagged 3 percent, and August sales slipped 4 percent.
Pizza Hut does not report comps for its franchise units, which account for about 75 percent of its domestic system.
