Pizza Hut criticized for children's book program about drag

Conservative group One Million Moms has turned its attention to Pizza Hut's BOOK IT! Program, which encourages reading for children. For Pride Month, designated as June, the program features a book called Big Wig, a story about a boy with a magic wig who wants to compete in a neighborhood costume contest, according to a report in The Los Angeles Blade.
One Million Moms leader Monica Cole wrote in the group's newsletter: "The goal is to "groom" the next generation. It is disgusting what is being done in our culture against children. Evidently, Pizza Hut and other woke companies are seeing how much conservatives will, or in this case, will not put up with regarding their LGBTQ agenda."
The group launched a petition to get Pizza Hut to stop LGBTQ+ and drag stories in its incentive program.
In an earlier report in Newsweek, the news outlet reached out to Pizza Hut and the Book It program for comment but did not report back.
