October 18, 2022

Pizza Hut has introduced a menu item designed for one diner without having to order a whole pizza. It's Melts item features Pizza Hut's Thin N' Crispy crust loaded with toppings and cheese, folded over and baked. The Melts come with a dipping sauce and come in four recipes: Pepperoni Lover's; Buffalo Chicken; Chicken Bacon Parmesan and Meat Lover's, according to a press release.

The Melts are available beginning today and are priced at $6.99.

Pizza Hut wants to empower people's desire to "go solo" and indulge in their own craving with this new menu item. That is why they are paying customers $100 to not share their Melts. Pizza Hut wants consumers to sign their MDA (Melts Disclosure Agreement) and agree that they will not share images of the new Pizza Hut Melts not only with others in real life, but also on social media channels — because Melts are really not for sharing. Guests can enter via a special website for the chance to win $100.

"We like to say — pizza is for WE, Melts are for ME because sometimes you want the delicious taste of pizza all for yourself without having to order and share an entire pie," Lindsay Morgan, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut, said in the press release. "With Melts, now there's a new way to get the bold flavors of your favorite pizza — or what you might get on your favorite sandwich — just for you, whenever and wherever you want."
