Pizza Hut delivering 300 stores to India

Pizza Hut announced Wednesday that it will open 300 exclusive outlets under its sub brand, Pizza Hut Delivery (PHD) by 2015 in India. According to Live Mint, Pizza Hut's 2015 delivery goal is to hit $100 million in sales.

"Pizza Hut has been delivering food items for a long time in India but given the growing demand in this segment, we have decided to focus on delivery by aggressively focusing on our sub brand, PHD," said Ashok Bajpai, PHD general manager.

The firm launched the first PHD in 2008, in Bangalore on a trial basis and is now looking to aggressively expand in the delivery format. Pizza Hut operates 35 standalone PHD outlets, and about 145 Pizza Hut casual dine-in restaurants have a certain delivery section branded as PHD, Bajpai said.
