Pizza Hut franchisee settles 'scalding' suit

The Billings Gazette: A 6-year-old girl who reportedly burned her chin on scalding hot pizza and cheese at the Pizza Hut in Watertown, N.Y., has won a $4,500 settlement.

Amanda N. Mullins, now 7, was hurt and scarred last August when cheese slid off the pizza she was eating and on to her chin.

Her father sued the Pizza Hut franchise company, Wichita, Kan.-based Daland Corp., which runs more than 90 Pizza Huts.
