Pizza Hut joins tornado relief efforts

To help support tornado relief efforts in Alabama, Pizza Hut restaurants throughout the state will host a fundraising event May 12, from open to close.

For all dine-in, carryout and delivery orders on this day, 15 percent of every sale will go toward the United Way to assist victims of the impacted communities. Every Pizza Hut restaurant in Alabama will participate in the event.

"Through this fundraiser, we can hopefully make a difference for our neighbors affected by the storms and provide our customers with an opportunity to help contribute to the relief efforts," said Tom White, South Territory vice president of Pizza Hut franchisee NPC International Inc.
