Dow Jones Newswires: The Pizza Hut arm of multi-brand fast-food operator Restaurant Brands New Zealand Ltd., posted positive numbers for the quarter ended Nov. 29.
Total Pizza Hut New Zealand sales were NZ$19.9 million (U.S. $14.3 million), up 8.3 percent on the same period a year before, and helped by the opening of five new outlets during the quarter.
The company said the division's sales for the first nine months of the fiscal year totaled NZ$66.3 million (U.S. $47.8 million), up 4.7 percent on the year before.
Restaurant Brands' Australian Pizza Hut business also grew, with same-store sales up 2.1 percent during the quarter, compared to the same period a year ago, and total sales up 3.8 percent to AUS $5.8 million (U.S. $4.5 million).
