LONDON -- Pizza Hut stated today its plans to open a combined 75 new dine-in and delivery outlets throughout the United Kingdom in 2002. The company expects the growth will create 3,000 jobs in the country.
One of three restaurant concepts owned by U.S.-based Tricon Global Restaurants Inc., Pizza Hut currently operates 450 outlets in the U.K.
Though year-end figures won't be reported for several weeks, Pizza Hut told Reuters that it expects UK sales for 2001 to exceed 310 million pounds (U.S. $443 million).
