LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Pizza Hut parent Yum! Brands reported comparable-store sales at its 1,741 U.S. corporate units jumped 6 percent for the four-week period ended Jan., 23. In the same period last year the chain's comps rose 2 percent.
According to a regulatory filing, Pizza Hut had a net loss of 94 U.S. units in 2004. The chain operates 6,306 units in the U.S.
