Pizza Inn has updated its crust recipe to feature buttery garlic, Romano and Parmesan cheeses. Starting today all of Pizza Inn's house-made crust edges will be finished with the blend, according to a press release.
"The addition of the Garlic Buttery Crust enhances our pizzas' flavor without losing that perfectly crispy texture that Pizza Inn customers want," Douglas Kwong, vice president of marketing at Pizza Inn parent company, Rave Restaurant Group, said in the release. "At Pizza Inn, you can always expect a high-quality, house-made product that is prepared fresh each morning, packed with flavor, and baked to perfection. Our new garlic buttery crust brings our pizza to a new level of cravability."
The company said the crust was tested with success at five of its stores and is being added to all versions of its existing pizza crusts, including New York pan, Italian, crispy thin and stuffed crust. It will also be featured on the buffet for carryout and delivery orders.
"Pizza Inn's commitment to quality is why the brand has stood the test of time and is poised for additional growth," Pizza Inn Chef Patty Scheibmeir said in the release. "Over the last 60 years, Pizza Inn has made advancements to its menu, while preserving the brand's legacy and nostalgia customers know and love."
The 62-year-old brand and sister brand, Pie Five, have more than 200 stores globally. Rave Restaurant Group is based in Dallas.
