THE COLONY, Texas — Pizza Inn has appointed Jack Odachowski vice president of supply chain management over the 400-unit chain.
According to a news release, Odachowski is a former executive with RTM Restaurant Group, one of the largest Arby's franchisees in the United States. During his multi-year tenure there he oversaw the company's distribution efforts.
At Pizza Inn, Odachowski will be responsible for reducing costs, increasing efficiency and ensuring quality from warehouse to point of sale. He will serve on the company's product purchasing committee, a group comprising franchisees and executives.
"Jack's past experience uniquely qualifies him for this position at Pizza Inn," said Tim Taft, president and chief executive of Pizza Inn. "A solid track record of managing multiple franchises and a deep understanding of purchasing and procurement is a crucial element in the strategy to get us back on track. Jack's experience and leadership make him the right man for the job and a perfect fit within our management team."
Prior to working at RTM, Odachowski was director of purchasing and distribution for Wendy's International, where he oversaw purchasing and distribution for 300 restaurants in 32 countries.
"My vision is to have all of our franchisees purchasing their food and supplies from Pizza Inn's distribution arm, Norco Restaurant Services Company," said Odachowski. "Buying from Norco makes our day-to-day business more efficient, and by doing so, we ultimately deliver a better product to our customers."
