Pizza Inn net up tenfold

THE COLONY, Texas -- Comparable-store sales at domestic Pizza Inn restaurants increased 1.8 percent for the company's fourth quarter ended June 29, the company has announced. Comps for fiscal 2008 were up 2.6 percent.
Revenues for the 2008 fiscal year were $49.5 million, up 7 percent compared with revenues of $46.4 million for fiscal 2007. Net income for the fiscal year was $2.8 million compared with revenues of $206,000 for the previous year.
"It has been a great year for Pizza Inn, said president and CEO Charlie Morrison. "We accomplished nearly all of our goals in the continued effort to turn around this brand."
