Pizza Patrón comps up 3.4% in May

DALLAS -- Pizza Patrón has announced that system-wide comparable sales increased 3.4 percent in May, exceeding company expectations. The company was helped by strong sales of their new medium-sized Amigo Pizza.
 
The Amigo Pizza was launched earlier this year under the banner "Un Amigo para Todos," or "An Amigo for Everyone." The campaign features three distinct "Choose Your Amigo" value options – one-topping pizzas at $4, two or three toppings at $5 and specialty pizzas at $6 each.
 
"Strong sales performance in May tells us that customers in the markets we serve continue to make Pizza Patrón their choice for quality, value and convenience," said Andrew Gamm, director of brand development for Pizza Patrón.
 
The company operates nearly 90 stores in six states and plans to have 750 stores nationwide within a decade. Approximately 93 percent of Pizza Patrón restaurants in the United States are owned and operated by franchisees.
