Pizza Patron honored for environmental impact

The award honors some of Pratt's most socially responsible customers.

Pratt Industries has awarded Pizza Patrón with its annual Environmental Impact Award, which honors some of its most socially responsible customers, according to a press release.

Pizza Patrón purchased Pratt's 100 percent recycled content packaging and instituted closed loop recycling efforts, making a significant impact on the environment, the release said.

From 2012 through 2014, Pizza Patron's use of 100 percent recycled content packaging has saved more than:

• 18,000,000 KWH of power
• 14,860 cubic yards of landfill
• 31,500,000 gallons of fresh water
• 76,500 trees
• 4,500 tons of CO2 emissions

''Pizza Patrón is not only one of our best customers, but also one that shares Pratt Industries' long-time commitment to the environment,'' said Southwest Division President Mike Tansey, for Pratt, in a statement. ''They are worthy recipients of this environmental impact award for both a fantastic local performance and for the overall impact they have had on the environment.''
