Pizza Pizza adds wireless debit to its delivery options

December 11, 2008

TORONTO, Ontario -- Canadian pizza chain Pizza Pizza has rolled out a wireless technology that allows customers to pay for their delivery orders at their door.

Customers will have the option of completing their transaction with their debit card, credit card or the recently upgraded Pizza Pizza gift card. All transactions are routed through a secure wireless mobile terminal provided by BNA Smart Payment Systems Ltd.

"We've been piloting this technology for quite some time, and the response from customers has been overwhelmingly positive," said Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer for Pizza Pizza. "This technology adds a new layer of convenience to the ordering process, and we are happy to provide this service through all our Pizza Pizza and Pizza 73 traditional restaurant locations."
