Pizza sauce maker Paradise Tomato Kitchens expands into former Frito-Lay plant

April 27, 2004

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Custom tomato sauce maker Paradise Tomato Kitchens Inc. has bought the former Frito-Lay Inc. plant here in order to expand its operations.

According to Louisville Business First, the $1.9 million, 188,000-square-foot facility will mirror Paradise's existing production facility.

Initially the site will employ 18 workers, but Paradise officials said in a news release that the company hopes to employ more than 100 workers there in the future.

Chuck Davis, manager for Paradise's current production plant, said the expansion was necessary to meet growing demand from existing and prospective customers.
