Lest you ever doubted that pizza brands aren't shaking up the restaurant industry, you need only to take a gander at the list of the just-announced Fast Casual Top 100 Movers & Shakers on sister website, Fast Casual, for proof otherwise.
Out of the 75 fast casual brands and 25 fast casual leaders that comprise the annual list of innovative fast casual businesses, fully nine brands and three leaders represented the pizza industry, including this year's No. 2 brand: &pizza.
Of course, as you probably already know, BurgerFi took home the No. 1 spot this year in the annual list of esteemed brands that are driving the direction of the entire fast casual segment. But in a close second, was Washington, D.C.-based brand, &pizza, recognized particularly for its longstanding prioritization of workers' rights and societal connection. But there were quite a few others in this year's top 75 brands, including:
Additionally, the fast casual brand, Modern Market Eatery, which this last year created a Broomfield, Colorado virtual brand called Honest Pizza, landed the No. 57 position, so could be considered a part-pizza brand among the top 75.
