This is D-Day for democracy in the U.S. and you know what that means, right? That's right, pizza. Pizza to the Polls is back in action and may be needed more than ever this year when midterm elections are expected to draw long lines at the nation's polling places and equally long stomach growls from the electorate.
That's where Pizza at the Polls comes in. The organization first sprang into action, according to its website, just ahead of the 2016 presidential election. The nonprofit funds its delicious works through donations from pie-minded patriots everywhere and sends pies "anywhere there's a line," the website said. Once at polling places, delivery personnel dispatch slices to all who hunger from pizza places nearest polling places.
To partake in Pizza to the Polls, share a photo or video of a polling place line to social media, and copy the link to the designated form on the organization's website, https://polls.pizza/ with the polling place address and the requester's phone number. The organization determines how many pies to dispatch and places the order for delivery.
Isn't democracy wonderful?
