PizzaExpress pushing delivery service

July 1, 2004

LONDON—Dine-in standard PizzaExpress is launching a marketing campaign centered on promoting delivery.

According to BrandRepublic.com, the program, to be run by the chain's 77 England restaurants, follows on the heels of a successful nine-store delivery trial. Marketing materials for the campaign will include the distribution of a small pizza box containing a menu, jotter pad and letter to addresses near PizzaExpress stores.

The report said the new program is in response to stiff competition from other pizza delivery chains such as Papa John's, Ask and Est. Est. Est.
