PizzaForno, an automated pizza oven restaurant, has expanded its footprint in North America with five units in Michigan and seven locations in Canada. The restaurant can make fresh-to-order in less than three minutes, according to a press release.
Customers can order the pizzas from a touchscreen, which are freshly made at the local pizza-topping-operation and shipped and placed within PizzaForno units.
"Our efficient business model makes it manageable for multi-unit licensees to break into new markets and serve a wider audience quicker with less overhead," William Moyer, co-founder and CEO of PizzaForno, said in the release. "With a small footprint, easy-to-monitor technology, the business model is designed to essentially operate on its own with only having to make and fill the box with the fresh pizzas when out of stock or running low, which naturally happens when you can serve the 24/7 consumer demand."
The brand is also developing an app to allow customers to order pizza from their phones. The app will be available in the fall.
