Famous Famiglia was created by four brothers in New York City and first opened in 1986. After opening more locations throughout the city, critics named the com­pany "New York's Favorite Pizza." Today there are more than 130 locations across the U.S., Mexico, Asia and Europe. Famous Famiglia's footprint is diverse, with loca­tions in shopping centers, airports, casinos, hotels, college campuses, military bases and theme parks. In 2011, the pizza com­pany and Six Flags Entertainment Corpora­tion signed a three-year contract naming Famous Famiglia the theme park's "official pizza." It also has partnerships with the New York Yankees, Madison Square Garden and Hersheypark. Famous Famiglia has a tradition to donate all of the first day's pro­ceeds to a local children's foundation.
