The first Cottage Inn Gourmet Pizza restau­rant opened in Ann Arbor, Mich., in 1948. The restaurant claims to be the first in the city to serve pizza. In addition to its signature gour­met pies, the restaurant offers an assortment of Italian and Greek dishes. Cottage Inn now operates more than 50 restaurants in Michi­gan and Ohio. In April, the company took its delivery service to unique heights, delivering pizzas to campsites on the grounds of the Michigan International Speedway during NASCAR weekends.
