&pizza patrons in five regional Eastern markets have got a new pie to try made from a recipe pulled together by people using Black singles dating app, BLK, to pay tribute to Black History Month this February.

The Washington, D.C.-based pizza brand recently surveyed BLK users in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, the Washington, D.C. metro area and Richmond, Virginia, about their favorite pizza to create the BLK pizza. It's now featured on the brand's "Heavy Hitter" section.

The final ingredients include &pizza dough, classic tomato sauce, basil, fresh mozzarella, grilled onion, chicken, crushed red and black pepper and garlic puree.

"BLK is always looking for new ways to not only grow our community, but also foster genuine comfort and familiarity for our users," Jonathan Kirkland, head of Marketing & Brand for BLK, said in the release. "It's been a great experience working with &pizza to create options based on app users' personal preferences, and exceptionally proud that we're able to offer this throughout Black History Month and beyond."

&pizza Marketing Director Charae Carter Jenkins said the partnership falls under the brand's pizzaworld initiative.

"(It) followed by additional, innovative collaborations bringing new flavors, incentives, and experiences to our consumers," Carter Jenkins said.
