Pizzeria and wine bar opens in Brooklyn

Brooklyn residents Matt Diaz, Bob Edinger and Guadalupe Candia have opened Bar Biba, a pizzeria and wine bar, in Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn, New York, according to a Brooklyn Magazine report.

Diaz, who owns For All Things Good, wanted a wine bar and when a location opened up across the street from where another pizzeria had been, he stayed up all night writing a business plan to secure the money and the location.

"The space was just so pretty," Diaz told the magazine. "Perfect for the kind of cool, cute, cozy neighborhood wine bar I had in my mind. And it came with a giant, floor-to-ceiling pizza oven so I was like, welp, time to learn how to make pizza!"

The restaurant is open in the evenings for service.
