Pizzerias take Super Bowl blitz in stride

WTOP-FM (Virginia): Workers at a Bethesda, Md., Domino's prepped for the Super Bowl rush by listening to AC/DC: The restaurant delivered 400 pizzas in the hour before kickoff and another 400 in the hour after the start of the game.

WIVB-TV in Buffalo, N.Y., reported that while the cost of wings at Dino's Bocce Club Pizza in Amherst may have gone up, the line of customers still stretched out the door, and WIBR-TV in Knoxville, Tenn., says that the average ticket on Super Bowl Sunday is twice that of a normal Sunday.
 
But according to the Daily News-Miner in Fairbanks, Alaska, the party came up a bit short because more than 4,000 soldiers from nearby Fort Wainwright have been deployed overseas.
