Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza opens second franchise store

PETALUMA, Calif. —  Fifteen-unit Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza opened its second franchised unit here. 

 

Petaluma franchisee Tom Walsh, a local businessman and community leader, said the area will enjoy the brand's stylish pizzeria. 

 

"Petaluma is a small town with a sophisticated sensibility. That's why we knew Pizzicato would be a good fit," Walsh said. "If you were to combine the gourmet pizza made in some of the Bay Area's finest restaurants, with the casual atmosphere of a family restaurant, that's Pizzicato. Our first week was crazy! People kept thanking me for opening. We were so busy and the store far exceeded my sales projections."

 

Pizzicato Inc., the parent company, was established in 1989 in Portland, Ore.
