Plano hopes to draw Pizza Hut Inc.

Plano, Texas, City Council members approved a $2.5 million incentive package to draw Yum! Brands Inc.'s largest subsidiary, Pizza Hut Inc., from Addison, according to the Dallas Morning News online.The package is the largest since the Council established an economic incentive fund in 2006.
Proponents believe that drawing the company would elevate the Dallas enclave's image as a corporate destination.

The package includes giving Pizza Hut $2.1 million in cash grants, as well as property tax breaks through 2021.In contrast, the $15 million headquarters project, slated for Legacy Business Park, would generate about $370,000 in total tax collections for the city through 2021.
