Preferred Restaurant Brands opens its first Papa John's location

Preferred Restaurant Brands, formerly known as Dixie Foods International Inc., announced it has opened its first of many planned Papa John's locations. The new location is on Sunset Boulevard in Rocklin, California.

"We are excited to be partnering with Papa John's International to be expanding Papa John's presence in Northern California," CEO Ken Antos said in a news release. "This store opened to strong results this past weekend; and we look forward to serving this fast-growing community with Papa John's pizza and service."

According to the release, Rocklin is one of the fastest growing cities in California, with a 67-percent population growth from 2000-2014.

Preferred Restaurant Brands currently has 10 additional Papa John's locations in the Fresno and Sacramento areas in various stages of planning and construction. Per its March 2014 Area Development Agreement with Papa John's, the company has plans to build 27 locations by the end of 2015.
