Celebrated chef Wolfgang Puck has chosen Omaha, Neb., ConAgra Foods to market and distribute his frozen gourmet wood-fired pizzas this spring.
The pies will be sold at groceries under the name Wolfgang Puck Wood-Fired Pizzas, and will cost from $6.49 to $8.99. In addition to a basic sausage and pepperoni offering will be a Thai Style Chicken, Barbecue Chicken, Spicy Grilled Chicken, Primavera Vegetable and Four Cheese and Pesto.
The Austrian-born Puck is widely recognized as one of a few California chefs who changed the pizza industry in the 1980s with off-the-wall toppings and presentations.
