LONDON — Domino's Pizza UK & IRL announced its comparable-store sales rose 8.2 percent in the first 15 weeks of 2005. According to a news release, 13 new unit openings helped boost systemwide sales 18.9 percent for the period .
"I attribute this good start to a continued focus on the basics of this business," said chief executive officer Stephen Hemsley.
The chain operates 370 units in the UK and Ireland.
