LOS ANGELES — California Pizza Kitchen reported a 6.3 percent increase in comparable-store sales for 2004's fourth quarter, ended Jan. 2. According to a news release, comps were up 2.8 percent in Q4 '03.
Revenues rose sharply in the period, soaring 19.8 percent to $115.1 million, compared to $96.1 million in the same period in 2003.
A portion of both increases was credited to the company's 53-week fiscal year in 2004. Its 2003 fiscal year was 52 weeks long.
CPK had 170 units at the close of the period.
