September 25, 2014

Red Book Connect's HotSchedules announced the release of its iPad app that adds to its iPhone app functionality, and allows users to display more information on the screen at one time.

Features include:

  • The My Schedule screen, which now allows users to view their schedule on the left pane while simultaneously displaying shift details on the right. Users can view who is and isn't working, release, swap, and pickup shifts from the pane on the right.
  • The Calendar section will now utilize a calendar view by default, allowing the user to instantly get a visual snapshot of their scheduled shifts, blocked days and time off requests.
  • Using the Digital Logbook feature, users can view daily logs and staff journal entries from the left pane while simultaneously viewing the entire post and its comments.
  • The HotSchedules reports for managers now include a graphical representation of the data.

"The HotSchedules iPad app is designed to take advantage of the larger screen and deliver more information in one view, and our development team has done an amazing job of making it incredibly easy to navigate. Anyone who has used our mobile apps will have no trouble at all when moving to the iPad app, and the larger views make it that much more beneficial to the user," said Casey Clinkenbeard, the vice president of the product team, in a company press release.
