MONTREAL, Quebec — Redberry Resto Brands has acquired 40 Quebec Pizza Hut restaurants and become the chain's master franchisee province-wide.
According to a news release, the firm bought the restaurants from Yum! Brands, the Louisville, Ky.-based parent of Pizza Hut.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
Redberry Resto's principals, Christian LeBrun, Robert Laverdure, Andreas Kragaris and Peter Gianopoulos, bring together decades of restaurant industry experience. Their aim, according to the release, is "to reinvigorate the Pizza Hut brand in Quebec by dominating the pizza delivery market."
According to the release, there are more than 360 Pizza Hut dine-in and takeout units in Canada.
