RedBrick Pizza Kitchen Café has opened the first store with its new design on Shoppes Boulevard in North Brunswick, New Jersey, a news release said. It's the chain's first location in the Garden State.
Franchisees Shivam J. Patel and Saad K. Farooq are Rutgers graduates and wanted to bring the brand to their hometown.
"With our location close to Rutgers University, it's the ideal location for a RedBrick Pizza Kitchen Café," Patel said in the release. "This is exactly what we would have wanted when we were in school, and now we're making it happen for the community by serving high-quality, fresh pizza to the students and families in the area."
RedBrick serves brick-oven pizza, salad, a fire-roasted flatbead sandwich called Fhazan, gelato and a gelato-topped fire-roasted brownie called Bhrazan, along with a separate gluten-free menu. The 2,250 square-foot North Brunswick restaurant seats 46 guests, the release said.
