Report claims Pa. has most pizzerias per capita in U.S.

Times-Tribune: A report by a national trade publication claims that the Pennsylvania area of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton has more pizza shops per capita than any other statistical area in the nation.

The report, published in the Aug. 6 edition of Nation's Restaurant News, said there are 5.31 pizza purveyors per 10,000 residents in the region, compared to the national average of 2.2 per 10,000 residents.
