NEW YORK -- More than 20,000 restaurant industry professionals are expected to attend the 10th annual International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York, to be held Jan.19-21, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
Nearly 1,000 product lines will be on display along with 10 special-focus product pavilions, including one for pizza. Some 20 pizza-focused exhibitors will be located in this one-stop-shopping area.
Pizzaiolos in attendance can take a shot at qualifying for the U.S. Pizza Team by competing in three dough-handling categories: Freestyle (acrobatic spinning and tossing), Largest Pizza Stretch and Fastest Pizza Making.
Winners qualify to become members of the U.S. Pizza Team and receive an all-expenses-paid, five-day, five-night trip for two to compete in the World Pizza Championships in Salsomaggiorre, Italy on April 7-9.
