Revel joins 7Shifts to sync labor management with sales

Cloud-based POS provider, Revel Systems, has joined with restaurant labor management solution company, 7shifts, to create a way for operators to synchronize sales data with the scheduling and labor management software to keep restaurants compliant with labor regulations, while enhancing operational efficiency and profitability, a news release said. 

"We're delighted to add 7shifts as a partner within our Revel Integrated ecosystem, especially since their team brings the same level of attention and expertise to labor management that we're able to give to the point of sale," Revel Systems Chief Strategy Officer Chris Lybeer, said in the release. "Together, we offer a complete solution for restaurant operators seeking to maximize their operational efficiency and profit margins."

The integration will provide:

• Real-time sales data to give a snapshot of restaurant performance at any given point in time, while simultaneously optimizing labor profitability.
• Automatic sales projections showing weekly sales forecasts weekly with 95 percent accuracy for adequate scheduling of manpower. 
• Schedule enforcement that cross-references worker time punches with scheduling to head off time-theft and unbudgeted overtime.
• Real-time labor cost visibility showing labor costs as accrued to manage potential over-staffing.  
• Employee wage synchronization to eliminate data entry duplication when wages change.
