Revenues up at California Pizza Kitchen

LOS ANGELES – Revenues at California Pizza Kitchen Inc. increased 7.4 percent to $174 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 28, 2008, compared with revenues of $162 million in the third quarter of 2007. Comparable restaurant sales decreased approximately 2.4 percent compared to an increase of 3.5 percent for last year's third quarter.
Company officials plan to hold a conference call to discuss earnings on Nov. 6.
The company added four full-service restaurants during the third quarter. In addition, the company's international franchise partners opened a total of three full-service restaurants during the quarter.
