Riko's Pizza has partnered with Susan G. Komen, a breast cancer research, advocacy and support organization, in awareness of Breast Cancer Awareness month, according to a press release.
During the month of October, Riko's Pizza guests have the opportunity to donate to Susan G. Komen by rounding up their bill to the nearest dollar or by contributing a larger amount. Anyone who donates will have their choice of receiving a custom, co-branded Riko's Pizza and Susan G. Komen sticker or a Breast Cancer Awareness Month rubber band.
This giving opportunity will be available at all Riko's corporate and franchise-owned locations.
The pizza brand will also utilize pizza takeout boxes for a limited time.
"At Riko's, we've seen first-hand the devastating impacts of breast cancer on the lives of those in our local communities. That's why we're incredibly proud to partner with Komen this year and support their mission of saving lives by meeting critical needs and investing in research to prevent and cure breast cancer," Rico Imbrogno, CEO of Riko's Pizza, said in the release. "We urge customers — our Riko's famiglia — to consider donating to this worthy cause so that we can tackle breast cancer together, one slice at a time."
"We appreciate Riko's Pizza's commitment to doing its part to end breast cancer and raise meaningful dollars for the mission of Susan G. Komen," Nicole Marohn, executive director of Komen New England, said in the release. "It takes all of us working together to provide the support patients need and fund the breakthrough research that will bring us the cures for breast cancer."
Riko's Pizza has four corporate-owned and six franchised owned locations across Connecticut, Florida, New York, and North Carolina with more in the pipeline.
