Romeo's gets 'sweet' on Texas

Ohio-based Romeo's Pizza cut the ribbon on its latest Frisco, Texas store June 17 on Fourth Army Drive, a news release said.

The 49-location chain is based in Ohio and aside from Texas, now has stores in Indiana, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina.

"When I first tasted Romeo's Pizza, I knew it was different and special," Romeo's Texas Area Rep. Randy Stepp, said in the release. "You do not typically find this level of quality from a carryout delivery pizza brand. Then, when I tasted Texas barbecue, I knew that Romeo's sweet sauce would fit the Lone Star State well."

Romeo's Pizza has won previously been named Best Gourmet Pizza in America and twice The Best Pizza in the Midwest. The brand was also featured in "Entrepreneur" as a Top 500 Food Franchise in 2021.

The 20-year-old chain is based in Medina, Ohio.
